The overall objective
The overall objective of the project Special Educational Needs for All - CESPeT is to increase the access of children with special educational needs having dropped out or at risk of dropout to formal and non-formal educational programs, with a view to their social and professional integration.
The specific objectives
The specific objectives of the project Special Educational Needs for All - CESPeT are:
- The prevention of school dropout by: the development of educational programs for a number of 900 scholarship-recipient students with SEN (with locomotion disabilities, sensory disabilities) from four regions of Romania-NE, NW, Centre, SE; the counselling of 1300 pupils with SEN and of 1000 parents/guardians in order to increase their self-esteem; the development, testing and implementation of intervention/prevention strategies, of innovative tools designed to prevent/diminish school dropout, of teaching materials meant to enhance interest in learning; the development of a good practices guide for the professionals working with persons with SEN; the validation and certification of the professional skills informally- and non-formally acquired by 200 parents/guardians of children with SEN at risk of dropout or having dropped out of school; the proposal amending the Law no. 448/2006;
- The educational and social reintegration of 30 pupils (from the four regions of Romania) who have left school early;
- The facilitation of the access of 200 persons involved in the education of children with SEN to continuing training programs (accredited by NCPTST) focused on the use of ICT and of non-formal educational strategies, on the acquisition of outdoor school techniques, on motivation enhancement and stress management;
- The creation of a Center for Training and Research in the field of Special Education - CTRSE (and the establishment of its laboratories in the partner counties), whose equipment will ensure the real-time online transmission and access of the information and activities relevant for the educational process, as well as the development of innovative tools/teaching materials/studies/research.
